Pricing is now even with Western Europe at the bottom of the price range, but still higher at the top. With the milk season winding to a close, lower milk production is also constricting butter production volumes. New Zealand, in particular, focuses on producing butter for export markets. This year January-March New Zealand exports of butter declined 17.2% from the same period one year earlier, according to Eucolait.
