Supplies are fairly tight, which would seem to contradict the general lower pricing trend, but some discounts can be found from those manufacturers seeking to adjust their inventories. Oceania prices are on the low end of the global market. Demand has been fairly good with good interest coming from the US in recent weeks. At the May 19 GDT event #140, butter prices averaged $2,890/MT for July contracts, -3.2% from the prior event. Butter prices averaged $2,911/MT for all contracting periods, -3.2% from the prior event. AMF prices averaged $3,335/MT for July contracts, -4.9% from the prior event.
