Prices for domestically produced foreign type cheeses are up, with Swiss staying steady. Demand is increasing. Manufacturers are reporting comfortable inventory levels. Imports are increasing seasonally. According to NASS, US Parmesan production during June totaled 29.0 million pounds, 12.5% more than June 2014. Provolone production during June totaled 31.0 million pounds, 4.9% more than a year ago. Romano production during June totaled 5.1 million pounds, 30.4% more than a year ago. Swiss production during June totaled 25.7 million pounds, 2.6% more than a year ago.
