Demand is steady. There has been some more spot availability due to export demand decreasing. Inventories are building slightly but manufacturers are cautious as not to have too much. Advertised U.S. cheese prices for a 1 pound block, as reported in the National Retail Report-Dairy, showed the national weighted average at $4.25, up $.30 from last week. In the southwest, the weighted average price is at $3.99. On Wednesday at the CME, barrels closed at $1.4500, up .0075 from last Wednesday and blocks at $1.4750, up $.0050 from week ago.
