According to the NASS Dairy Products report, total cheese production in the U.S. in November reached 948.7 million pounds, up 2.9% from November 2013. Cumulative total cheese output for the U.S. through November is 10.4 billion pounds, up 2.8% from 2013. November total cheese production in the Western region was 410.0 million pounds, up 3.6% from November 2013. Swiss output for the U.S. in November is 23.6 million pounds, up 0.5% from a year ago. Cheese prices at the CME Group have barrels on Wednesday closing at $1.5450, up $.0150 from a week ago and blocks remain at $1.5700, up $.0175.
