CHEDDAR CHEESE:  Cheddar prices in Oceania are steady. Buying 
interest is readily accommodated by stocks. Markets are balanced.                                                
Volumes of cheddar exports from Australia July-September this year 
decreased 4.5% from the same period last year according to Dairy 
Australia. The value of cheddar exports this year is 11.4% below last 
year. Volumes of other cheese exports from Australia July-September 
this year decreased 12.8% from the same period last year. The value 
of cheddar exports this year is 11.4% below last year. New Zealand 
cheese export volumes January-September this year are 9.4% above the 
same period last year according to Eucolait. The main destinations 
and percent of the total are: Australia, 17.6%; Japan, 17.4%; and 
China, 14.0%.
