WHEY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE 34% - CENTRAL AND WEST                         

Whey protein concentrate 34% prices are steady to higher. Prices moved 
just slightly higher at the bottom of the range and top of the mostly 
price series. Some manufacturers are still facing stiff competition from 
feed grade nonfat dry milk priced near the bottom of the WPC 34% price 
range. The inexpensive NDM keeps the market for WPC 34% (that does not 
meet high end product specifications) sluggish and price points 
suppressed. WPC 34% that does meet stricter product specifications is in 
tight supply and is often priced higher in the price range. In some cases, 
end users are getting WPC 34% from across the country in order to fill 
product needs. Production is steady, however a few manufacturers are shut 
down this month in order to complete maintenance and repairs.
