LACTOSE - CENTRAL AND WEST                                                      

Lactose prices are steady, but moved slightly lower at the bottom of the 
price range. A few manufacturers report stocks are building for lower mesh 
lactose and they needed to offer some price concessions in order to move 
excess supplies. Inventories for higher mesh lactose are tight and highly 
committed. Production is steady. 

Including spot sales and up to 3 month contracts.
