LACTOSE - CENTRAL AND WEST                                                      

Lactose prices are mostly steady this week. The bottom of the mostly price 
series moved slightly higher as spot sales continue to inch upward. Some 
manufacturers state their lactose stocks are a little tight. A few processors 
have drawn down inventories to the point of needing to increase production 
again to maintain comfortable supplies of lactose.

Including spot sales and up to 3 month contracts.
