CASEIN - NATIONAL   

Rennet casein prices increased very slightly at the bottom of the price 
range, but are steady at the top. Acid casein also slightly firmed at the 
bottom of the price range but remained steady at the top. Most steady 
users of casein are contracted for the first quarter, and some through the 
second quarter, which keeps spot market activity at a low level. With 
early year uncertainty as to how tighter supplies of milk in the EU and 
Oceania will be used by dairy manufacturers, coupled with this being an 
off GDT event week, few were in a hurry to complete transactions.
