Rennet casein prices slightly firmed at the bottom of the price range. All 
other casein prices are steady. Trading was very light for current needs. 
Most customers have contracted ahead, some through the first half of next 
year. Many casein customers are quite committed to certain manufacturers 
or at least, supplies from a specific country, for various reasons. For 
example, some dairy manufacturers based in Ireland gravitate toward 
sourcing casein from New Zealand manufacturers, rather than Ireland. Other 
customers tend to favor Ireland or other E.U. sources. This phenomenon 
leads to a market where pricing alone is often not dispositive in 
finalizing sale transactions.
