Casein rennet prices weakened at the top of the range, as did casein acid prices, while each remained stable at the bottom. Eucolait reports that U.S. imports of caseinates January-February 2016, are 1.7% above the same period of 2015. The three primary sources of U.S. caseinate imports are: New Zealand, 55.4%; Ireland, 13.4%; and Netherlands, 9.0%. New Zealand caseinate exports January-February 2016, are 5.3% above January-February 2015. Main destinations and percent of total exports are: U.S.A., 34.0%; China, 11.1%; and Mexico, 10.9%. EU caseinate exports January-February 2016, are 58.9% above the same period of 2015. Main destinations and percentage of total exports are: Thailand, 37.1%; U.S.A. 10.8%; and Mexico, 6.4%.
