Acid and rennet casein pricing managed to hold steady this week following 
recent price weakness. Production is starting to ramp up in the EU in 
response to seasonal increases in milk production. Casein production is also 
driven by the low profit potentials in using available milk for skim milk 
powder, as intervention sales of SMP continue. New Zealand production is 
challenging EU production in some areas for sales. Many buyers are well 
stocked for current needs this week, so some have been willing to step back 
in hopes sellers will further weaken prices to make sales.

U.S. WAREHOUSE FOR EDIBLE NONRESTRICTED AND VARY ACCORDING
