CASEIN - NATIONAL


Both acid and rennet casein prices are unchanged. Importing is 
increasing, but still behind year ago levels. Lower milk volumes in 
the EU and Oceania are resulting in lower casein production. Buyers 
are looking for discounts, both in spot loads and in future 
contracts. Most end users are reporting adequate supplies through the 
end of the year.  


SPOT SALES AND UP TO 3 MONTH CONTRACTS.  PRICES ARE F.O.B.,      
U.S. WAREHOUSE FOR EDIBLE NONRESTRICTED AND VARY ACCORDING
