Casein production has increased globally and supplies are readily 
available.  Rennet casein production in Europe has been especially strong 
this production season.  Demand for casein has lessened in recent weeks, 
especially for acid casein.  Spot sales activity remains light as many 
buyers are only covering their immediate needs.  The market has a weak 
undertone.  At the January 20 GDT event 132, the average winning price 
for rennet casein for all contract periods increased 3.3% to $8,159/MT.
