DRY WHOLE MILK - NATIONAL                                        
                                                                 
National f.o.b. spot prices for dry whole milk are mixed. A few 
spot sales shifted higher the top of the range. According to some 
industry participants, the market undertone is firmer in the 
East, steady in the Central region, and weak in the West.  
Trading activity in the spot market is light. Interest from 
bakers and dry mix processors is improving. Production is 
irregular, mostly dictated by contractual requirements. 
Inventories vary from plant to plant throughout the country.
