Some manufacturers are not selling at prices on the lower end of the range. Their inventories are building up as they are taking the wait and see approach hoping for prices to improve. The market undertone is steady to weak. Production is regular. Domestic sales are steady. Demand from Mexico is picking up due to their lower NDM supplies. High heat nonfat dry milk prices are steady at the bottom of the range and higher at the top. Production is irregular and mainly based on contractual obligations. Supplies are limited, and demand is stable. At the GDT Event 192 on July 18, skim milk powder (SMP) prices across all contract periods averaged $0.9181 per pound, down 3.2 percent from the last event. F.O.B.
