Variable contract prices are following upward movements of various indices. However, f.o.b. spot load prices are steady. At this point the market undertone is unsettled. Some buyers/end users are taking a wait and see attitude anticipating lower prices in the near future. Low/medium heat demand for cheese fortification is active. However, interest from the bakery sector is sluggish. Sales activity in the spot market is slightly lower this week. Production has been somehow irregular as some processors are having maintenance/repair work done on their dryers. Inventories continue to be mixed. Prices for high heat nonfat dry milk are steady. Sales in the f.o.b. spot market are light as most sales are based on contractual needs. Production is sporadic. Inventories vary from plant to plant. F.O.B.
