MD_DA640 DA MD DA640 Nonfat Dry Milk - West MADISON, WI. March 24, 2016 (REPORT 12) NONFAT DRY MILK - WEST Prices for low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) are mixed on the range, but steady on the mostly series. At this point, the market undertone is weak and quiet. Demand from the baking sector is waning. Compared to the previous week, sales in the f.o.b. spot market are lower. Production is mostly flat. Inventories are mixed throughout the region. Some processors are selling condensed skim loads in the spot market instead of drying it. In addition, ice cream makers are pulling fair amounts of condensed skim, making it less available for drying. However, some processors indicate that NDM inventories are readily available in the market. Prices for high heat nonfat dry milk are steady on light trading. Production is irregular, driven by contractual needs. Inventories outside contracts are slightly tight. F.O.B.
