DRY WHEY - NORTHEAST                                                 

Dry whey prices shifted slightly upward on the higher end of the price 
series this week, based on time and need. Northeastern whey markets are 
tight, but there has been limited spot availability. Northeastern whey 
production is active, clearing loads to contracts on time, but there are 
limited loads to purchase outside of contracted agreements. Inventories 
continue to tighten, but Northeastern manufacturers are moving whey powder 
to the market. In the Northeast, the demand is good, but there is not enough 
whey around to go around. The market undertone is steady.
