DRY WHEY - NORTHEAST                                                 

Prices are steady to lower.  Contacts speculate there is still room for 
prices to move before reaching the bottom.  Production is steady, at 
moderate to heavy volumes.  Supplies are adequate for meeting buyers' needs.  
Spot market activity is still modest.  Producers continue to clear most of 
their output through contracts.  Export interest remains slow.
