The market tone is weak. Demand is about the same as last week. Industry contacts state that there is a competition in the whey market. Buyers/end-users are trying to delay taking their contracted loads as they are hoping for lower prices in the future. Some traders report not buying dry whey because of the current low profit margin. Supplies are abundant and continue to build up. Production remains active, as more cheese is being produced.
