DRY WHEY - WEST                                                  

Western whey prices moved slightly lower at the top end of the mostly 
prices series, but were otherwise unchanged. Production is generally 
steady. The market tone for dry whey is weak and industry contacts say 
domestic spot sales are slow. Inventories have grown somewhat. A few 
manufacturers are actively pursuing export markets in an effort to manage 
inventories.
