DRY WHEY - WEST                                                  

The western whey market is steady, but prices moved slightly higher on the 
bottom end of the range series. A few processors responded to various 
market signals and pushed for higher prices. Some manufacturers are 
reporting committed or comfortable inventories, while others in the 
industry say inventories are building. Whey production is active. A few 
manufacturers made block sales into export markets.
