DRY WHEY - WEST                                                  

Western whey prices are unchanged for the week. Spot sale activity was 
relatively quiet and volumes of dry whey cleared mostly through regular 
contracts. Production is steady. Some contacts report production is up a 
little from the previous year and has returned to pre-holiday levels. 
Processors say their inventories are stable and slightly tight. Industry 
contacts suggest the market is stabilizing.
