Manufacturers report inventories are a little tight, however end users note product is readily available. Demand has been light and spot sales are limited. Dry whey production is steady to higher. The general market tone is weak. The DMN monthly average of the mostly price series for West dry whey during December was $0.2390 compared to $0.2308 one month ago and $0.5423 a year ago. NASS reports that November 2015 U.S. human whey production, 80.2 million pounds, is up 13.9% from a year ago, and up 8.5% from October. The Western region produced 22.7 million pounds of edible dry whey during November, up 40.1% from last year, and up 29.9% from October this year. Month ending stocks for U.S. human whey, at 64.6 million pounds are 0.6% higher than one year ago and 11.4% higher than one month ago. U.S. Dry Whey Exports. H.S.
