Sales activity was mixed as some contacts report stagnancy and others report generally steady activity for contract sales. Limited spots sales occurred. The DMN monthly average of the mostly price series for West Dry Whey during May was $0.4295 compared to $0.6649 a year ago. NASS reports that April 2015 U.S. human whey production, 75.8 million pounds, is up 8.0% from a year ago but down 10.8% from March. The Western region produced 16.0 million pounds, or 21.1% of U.S. edible dry whey during April.
