MD_DA350 DA MD DA350 Dry Buttermilk (Central and East) MADISON, WI. January 26, 2017 (REPORT 4) DRY BUTTERMILK - CENTRAL AND EAST CENTRAL: Prices for dry buttermilk in the region match last week's prices. Output rates are on track with regionally active butter churning. However, some butter makers continue to move buttermilk as liquid. Producers' stocks of dry buttermilk are increasing slightly. Limited spot interest is reported. The dry buttermilk market undertone is steady. EAST: Dry buttermilk prices are unchanged. Offerings near the top of the range were reported, with confirmed sales. Dry buttermilk production remains steady with recent weeks. Limitations on dryer times continue due to facilities operating near capacity as they absorb heavy milk intakes. In general, dry buttermilk inventories are tight, but adequate for supplying customers' processing needs. Buyers' demand is mostly sluggish this week. The market undertone is steady in a strong market. F.O.B.
