MD DA350 Dry Buttermilk (Central and East)

DRY BUTTERMILK - CENTRAL AND EAST                           

CENTRAL: Dry buttermilk prices in the Central region are 
unchanged. The market tone is weak following recent price trends 
for butter and nonfat solids component values. Production of dry 
buttermilk is active as Central region butter plant operators 
indicate cream is readily available from all regions at flat 
market to discounted prices. Dry buttermilk inventories are 
building.
EAST: Dry buttermilk prices are unchanged in the East region. The 
market undertone is weak. Interest from the bakery sector is 
light. Production is increasing as heavy cream volumes are 
clearing into butter churn facilities. Inventories are steady to 
building.
