The market tone is weak. Currently, dry buttermilk sales are lower in the f.o.b. spot market. Production is limited by the strong demand for cream from butter churns and cream cheese makers. Inventories vary in the region, but are mostly steady to building. The July 2015 Dairy Market News monthly average for the West dry buttermilk mostly series is $0.7914 compared to $1.7687 a year ago. DAIRY PRODUCTS: According to NASS, U.S. production of dry buttermilk during June 2015 totaled 7.0 million pounds, 15.9% lower than a year and 20.0% lower than the previous month. F.O.B.
